Our client are a Yorkshire based company that specialise in large format print for events and public projects. They approached Propack after winning a significant contract with an internationally recognised sports brand.
The challenge was to receive stock, organise, collate, fulfil and distribute Point of Sale packs for a major sports retailer both in the UK and overseas! Each pack was to contain a different list of items per store from a selection of over 50 different item types. Propack had only 3 days to achieve this!
What we did
We turned over our extensive Collation and Fulfilment team to understanding the requirements and scale of the project and working out best practice for packing items:
- Mapping out the 56+ Point of Sale item variants and their arrival times into Propack – allocating them specified floorspace and locations on Propack’s shop floor.
- Managing the receipt of each item into Propack, checking deliveries against stock sheets and reorganising Warehouse storage to streamline the process.
- Producing barcoded labels from supplied data to create a pick/pack/check sheet for each of the 1300 deliveries.
- The collation and fulfilment team carefully followed these sheets to bring together each pack enclosing them as per each items requirement.
The Distribution teams at Propack succeeded in despatching all of the 1300+ packs, meeting the challenging 3 day deadline and delivering accurately collated and fulfilled packs to Sports stores across Europe.
Our client was extremely satisfied with the outcome and as a result we have continued to tackle challenges like this for our client on a regular basis.
